Heavy Highway Construction Carpenter OR Laborer in Oneida, NY at our Glenmore Dam project. Successful candidates will be an important member of the construction team and will report directly to a site Supervisor.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform a range of tasks (such as site demo, cleaning, moving materials and assisting other trades) as needed
Physical demands such as standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects under a variety of environmental conditions
Concrete forming and finishing on various structures
Maintain a safe working environment by following all rules and regulations.
Must provide certain small basic hand tools necessary for the job
Assist with all aspects of bridge & highway construction, including preparation, placement, and finishing of concrete.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment safely and effectively.
Load, unload, and organize construction materials and equipment on-site.
Maintain clean and safe work areas, following company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Support equipment operators, carpenters, ironworkers, and other skilled trades as needed.
Perform other general labor duties associated with heavy highway construction projects.
Represent H&B in a professional manner.
Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate night and weekend work if necessary

Ideal Candidate:
Must pass a pre hire drug screen.
Must have or the ability to pass OSHA 10 training
Must have active driver’s license, reliable vehicle and willing to travel to job sites.
Must be able to lift heavy objects
